April 2015

& we have progress..

All weight loss is NOT great weight loss

A couple of years ago I dropped down to 8st (I'm 5ft 4) and at the time I really thought this was a cute look. "The skinnier the better right?!" How very wrong!!! Don't necessarily listen to those BMI calculators. - of course, it is a scientific way of working out what you should weigh for your height. But guess what no science knows who you are and what is exactly right for you.

I lost over 3 stones due to stress and I am also Anaemic and suffer from heavy periods which made me lose weight so quickly. At the time I thought this was a good look! But like most celebrities out there I was suffering from the "lollipop effect". Nope God did not intend for me to be this slim. Naturally when I was back to being healthy (mind and soul) I quickly piled on the weight and so I know my normal body type is not to be a size 8. (Sorry but NOT sorry!)

Goals

As always we start the day off, reminding ourselves why we do this. What is our goal?

Perfect quote: Always plan for the beginning at the end - Tyra Bank's mum to Tyra Banks.

Re-energize

Hi guys,

as you can imagine, studying for an Undergraduate degree and now a Masters is very challenging and time-consuming. Often you find yourself lost in exams, essays, mark schemes and not to mention books. I've been inspired to get back on my mission of toning up and changing my very bad eating habits. So my last post was over a year ago, and I pretty much 'failed' to keep my end of the bargain (posting regularly). Now I'm refreshed and ready to get back on my mission!

A new TV show I love watching is "Being Mary Jane" and at the beginning of the episode, there is also an inspiring quote/message - What I like to call food for thought. On today's episode the quote read: Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving - Albert Einstein.

This quote inspired me in many ways, and I thought that is my perfect answer, to keep myself balanced I need to keep it moving. Moving in the forward motion, allowing nothing to hold me back.

Now a few disclaimers; I am not a personal trainer (GOD no I don't have the patience or drive to be one) nor do I aspire to become one. (I see myself becoming a writer) but I am most definitely human, young and struggling to reach my goals.

So why not join me... In inspiring other girls.

This is a fitness blog, a journey blog and most importantly my personal testimony, so please do not criticise and lets encourage one another. Thank you to those who have sent in positive comments!

This one is for you!
